Q: How do I contact support?

Q: How do I download PraiseCue?

PraiseCue is currently in active development. Downloads will be available soon on our website at praisecue.com. Check the Download section on the homepage for the latest release when available.

You'll be able to download versions for:

  • Windows (64-bit)
  • macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon)
  • Linux (AppImage/deb)
Q: Is PraiseCue free to use?

Yes! PraiseCue is completely free to use with all core features included. We also offer a Supporter Edition for users who want to support the project and get additional benefits.

Q: What's the difference between Free and Supporter Edition?

Both editions have the same core features. The Supporter Edition includes:

  • Access to Private Builds
  • Optional "(Supporter)" badge in the app
  • Help support continued development

You can upgrade to Supporter Edition anytime through the website.

Q: How do I upgrade to Supporter Edition?

To upgrade to Supporter Edition:

  1. Open PraiseCue and go to About section to access your Device ID (copy it)
  2. Click the "Donate & Support" button
  3. Complete the purchase. You will be redirected to redeem your serial key
  4. Enter or paste your Device ID into the input field, then hit Generate Key
  5. Enter the serial key in PraiseCue under About > "Support PraiseCue" > "I Have a Serial Key"

Q: What are the system requirements?

PraiseCue runs on most modern systems:

Minimum Requirements:

  • OS: Windows 10/11, macOS 10.13+, or modern Linux distribution
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Storage: 200 MB free space
  • Display: 1280x720 resolution

Recommended:

  • RAM: 8 GB or more
  • Display: 1920x1080 or higher (dual monitor setup recommended for presentations)
Q: How do I get started with PraiseCue?

Getting started is easy:

  1. Download and Extract: Get PraiseCue from our website
  2. Extract the Zip file: Extract PraiseCue into a USB drive
  3. Create Your First Cue: Click the "New File" button in the Cue
  4. Add Content: Use the text editor to write your lyrics or message
  5. Start Presenting: Open the Live Window (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+L or Ctrl+D) to open the Live Window, and then drag it to the second screen and press "F" key to make it fullscreen

Q: Can I use PraiseCue for commercial events?

Yes! PraiseCue is free for both personal and commercial use. You can use it for churches, concerts, conferences, and any other live events without restrictions, as long as you use it without any malicious intent. Please read the EULA.

Q: How do I report a bug or request a feature?

We appreciate bug reports and feature requests!

To Report a Bug:

  1. Email support@praisecue.com with:
    • Description of the issue
    • Steps to reproduce the problem
    • Your operating system and PraiseCue version
    • Screenshots if applicable

To Request a Feature:

  1. Email your feature ideas to support@praisecue.com or use the Contact form on the website
  2. Include a description of the feature and how it would help your workflow
Q: Does PraiseCue work offline?

Yes! PraiseCue works completely offline. You don't need an internet connection to use any of the core features. Internet is only needed for:

  • Initial download and installation
  • Activating Supporter Edition (one-time)
  • When you use the built-in Browser to browse the web
  • Checking for updates
Q: Can I import content from other presentation software?

Currently, PraiseCue uses its own file format. However, you can:

  • Copy and paste text from other applications
  • Import images and videos from your computer
  • Manually recreate content from other tools

We're working on import features for popular formats in future releases.

Q: How do I update PraiseCue?

PraiseCue will notify you when updates are available:

  1. Go to About > Check for Updates
  2. If an update is available, click Download
  3. Download the new version (your settings and content are preserved)

You can also manually download the latest version from praisecue.com.

Q: Is my data safe and private?

Yes! PraiseCue:

  • Stores all your data locally on your USB or wherever you extract it
  • Does not send your presentations or content to any servers
  • Does not track your usage or collect personal data
  • Only requires internet for updates and Supporter Edition activation, or when you use the Browser to browse the web

Your presentations and content remain completely private.

Q: Can I use PraiseCue with multiple monitors?

Yes! PraiseCue is designed for multi-monitor setups:

  1. Connect your second monitor or projector
  2. Open the Live Window (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+L or Ctrl+D)
  3. Drag the Live Window to your presentation screen
  4. Press F to enter fullscreen mode

TIP: You can utilize the shortcut "Alt+M" to change Live Window modes (1-3). Mode 1 (Presentation Mode for the Audience), Mode 2 (Preview), Mode 3 (Stage Display).

The main window stays on your control monitor while content displays on the presentation screen.

Q: What file formats does PraiseCue support?

PraiseCue supports common media formats:

Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP

Videos: MP4, WebM, OGG

Fonts: TTF, OTF, WOFF

Bible content comes from built-in translations and doesn't require external files.

Q: How do I backup my presentations?

Your PraiseCue data is stored in your USB. So just copy the whole Data directory and save it somewhere safe.

To backup:

  1. Close PraiseCue
  2. Copy the entire Data folder to a safe location (USB drive, cloud storage, etc.)
  3. To restore, replace the Data folder with your backup

We recommend regular backups before major events!

Q: Can I customize the appearance of slides?

Yes! PraiseCue offers extensive customization:

  • Text Formatting: Use BBCode tags for bold, italic, colors, fonts, and alignment
  • Slide Templates: Create custom templates for Bible verses
  • Backgrounds: Set custom colors or images for each cue
  • Fonts: Use any font installed on your system
  • Custom BBCode Tags: Create your own formatting tags

Q: What languages does PraiseCue support?

The PraiseCue interface is currently in English. However:

  • You can display content in any language (Unicode support)
  • Bible translations are available in multiple languages
  • We plan to add interface translations in future releases

Q: How do I uninstall PraiseCue?

To uninstall PraiseCue:

If you do not want to use PraiseCue anymore, just delete the PraiseCue launcher beside the Data folder in your USB. Your actual files are stored in the Data directory so you can keep or delete that if you want. We suggest you keep them.
