Q: What is the EULA for PraiseCue?

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and PraiseCue for the use of PraiseCue software ("Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA.

Q: What am I allowed to do with PraiseCue?

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Use the Software for personal, commercial, or non-profit purposes
  • Install the Software on multiple devices that you own or control
  • Create presentations, content, and media using the Software
  • Display content created with the Software at live events, churches, concerts, conferences, and other gatherings
  • Make backup copies of your data and the Software for archival purposes
Q: What am I NOT allowed to do with PraiseCue?

You are explicitly prohibited from:

  • Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software
  • Modification: You may not modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software
  • Distribution: You may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the Software to third parties
  • Removal of Notices: You may not remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from the Software
  • Circumvention: You may not bypass, disable, or circumvent any license validation, security features, or access control mechanisms
  • Malicious Use: You may not use the Software for any illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes
Q: Who owns PraiseCue?

PraiseCue and all intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets, are owned by the PraiseCue development team. This EULA does not grant you any ownership rights to the Software.

Q: Is there a warranty for PraiseCue?

The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

PraiseCue does not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

Q: What is PraiseCue's liability?

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • PraiseCue shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use the Software
  • This includes damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses
  • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Software is to stop using it
Q: What about my data and content?

You retain all ownership rights to:

  • Presentations and content you create using the Software
  • Media files (images, videos, fonts) you import or use
  • Any custom templates, BBCode tags, or configurations you create

PraiseCue does not claim ownership of your data or content.

Q: What data does PraiseCue collect?

PraiseCue respects your privacy:

  • No Automatic Data Collection: The Software does not automatically collect or transmit your personal data, presentations, or usage information
  • Optional Connections: Internet connections are only made when you explicitly:
    • Check for updates
    • Activate Supporter Edition
    • Use the built-in Browser feature
  • Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device
Q: Can I use third-party content in PraiseCue?

Yes, but you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the legal right to use any third-party content (images, videos, fonts, text) in your presentations
  • Complying with copyright laws and licensing requirements for content you use
  • Obtaining necessary permissions for song lyrics, Bible translations, or other copyrighted materials

PraiseCue is not responsible for your use of third-party content.

Q: What about open source components?

PraiseCue may include open source software components. These components are governed by their respective open source licenses, which are available in the Software's documentation or About section.

Q: Can this EULA be changed?

PraiseCue reserves the right to modify this EULA at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated EULA on our website or within the Software. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified EULA.

Q: What happens if I violate the EULA?

If you violate any terms of this EULA:

  • Your license to use the Software will be automatically terminated
  • You must immediately cease all use of the Software and delete all copies
  • PraiseCue reserves the right to take legal action to protect its rights
Q: What law governs this EULA?

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where PraiseCue is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

This EULA constitutes the entire agreement between you and PraiseCue regarding the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings.
